Default Help with RNS-E Head Radio Unit

I was trying to improve my poor performance with Treo 700wx and Bluetooth, and reset the head unit per the manual instructions. I got a screen to enter the PIN number for the head unit (not the Bluetooth PIN). Much to my disappointment, there is no PIN number in the owners manual, or anywhere else I can find. I called the dealer, and they looked thru all their paperwork and could find no PIN number, and told me there was nothing to be done until service and Auburn Hills, Michigan (Audi dealer service?) are open next week. Anyone know a work around? Where to look for PIN code? Should I have a code in the manual? I know the serial number and did not disconnect the battery. Any help will be much appreciated! Gary

Default Had something similar happen when I did a software update.

Normally it is provided but a few 2007s did not come with the PIN Code. All you can do is go to the dealer and have them pull the code through GEKO

That is not good news over the holidays, but I do appreciate the response. What does GEKO stand for? Have there been any updates to the 2007 RS4 RSN-E units, and how would I tell?

Default There was an updated DVD issued, which contains v0150...

You can find out what version you have by clicking the CAR button followed by SETUP I think. Anyway, here is a link to the thread from a week or two ago so you can apply the software update without having to buy the new DVD. The DVD is normally approx. $200 and includes the latest maps as well as the newest software.
