Sorry for the dumb question but when I press Nav -> Memory, the Delete route option is always disabled. I find the the "Route with stopover" and route without stopover" mode stuff confusing in the manual.

Have you saved any routes in memory? If not, then that would be why the Nav -> Memory menu has Delete disabled. If instead you want to delete the last route you used, press Nav -> Region and while on the Region map press Enter to select your region and voila! when you return to the navigation screen your last route will be gone. I had trouble with the Nav always trying to tell me how to go to my last route and this cured that. Good luck.

...presss the 'Name' button, select 'show list', choose the destination you want to delete, then scroll down to 'delete entry'. Bingo.
