I loved my 2 tone sport interior in my s4, and I've seen the B7 S4 alcantara recaro seats (they're gorgeous) but when I try to configure on audi's site - it seems leather is the only option, which confuses me.

Is there some reason? Are they not the same seats?

based on my budget I was hoping to pick up a slightly used 07, so being able to custom order wouldn't really solve my problem. Just not sure why audi would do this.

Thoughts? (i searched it didn't seem like a very popular forum topic, which surprises me) maybe audi's site is just having problems today.

I believe the seats are the same but Audi only offers them in leather with piping in the RS4

weird that they took the option away from a higher model.

This was rumored to be due to US DOT requirements of crash testing of each seating material for each model vehicle but may have just been a decision made by Audi.

The only interior options were:
1) black with silver piping
2) silver with black piping
3) Audi Exclusive black with red inserts
4) Audi Exclusive custom - only a handful of these were made and two were black with orange piping

RS4 production has stopped so you can no longer order a RS4.

You can get Alcantara inserts for about $250 per seat. don't know it that price is installed or not

easy to do....it's generally a $1500-2000 job.

Just FYI, but RS4 production has stopped. So custom ordering one new wont be an option

I was going to install the Euro seats but after driving with them in Europe I passed and ordered a custom set of Recaro Sport Topline seats with leather and black alcantara inserts. They are heated and ventilated which is great here in Las Vegas summer heat. Only one I'm aware of with them installed - PM me and I can send you some pics.
