New DRC part #
Anyone have the new DRC part #? My dealer ordered me the two front ones and I'm sure they are the old version.
They gave me the following part #'s:
8E0 412 019
8E0 412 020
Also should they order anything else like valves, etc?
Thanks

DRC Failure Tracking over on RS246
Here's the link. These guys are tracking the number of DRC replacements and the % of over all DRC replacements with an online poll.

http://rs246.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=6 9493&postdays=0&postorder=asc</a

Not a new part number. Exacty the same as mine replaced in October 2008...
See my link for the parts that you should have replaced. 2 new valves should be on the part list as well.

https://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/100997.phtml</a

Here is the latest:
The 'new' part numbers are:
for Chasis type 2ME (I think that is the convertible), same part number as original, but followed by the letter "c"
for Chasis type 2MC (I think that is the sedan), same part number as original, but followed by the letter "b"
This ins't a recall or anything close to that, dealers have been told new parts have an improved seal.
So Papaya: if you have the old ones about to be installed, absolutely refuse them. Are you having it serviced at Riverside? If so, mail me, I'll give you some added details.
Here is my issue: after 200 miles replacing both fronts, the driver's side is now leaking. But dealer informed me AofA has only authorized he change the leaking one, i.e. leave me with one of the new shocks and one of the old, which I know is a matter of time before it starts leaking. Is there any way to push the dealer to do both???

Same issue here: FL is leaking, FR is fine. They're only replacing FL and one valve...
Their logic is that it's a closed, diagonal system and only the defective one (and related valve) are being replaced.
I had both fronts and both valves replaced two months ago, and have driven about 1500 miles since then. Part numbers ordered were the "new" ones FWIW.
