I'll bet on the 4.0 V8 turbo.
I can't believe they're going to make no substantial changes to the current 4.2, which dates back several years now...at least to 2005 for the RS4 version of the 4.2. So, in 2011 they will have done just minor tweaks to that same engine. Not likely.

I would call that site far from credible. Some info in that is incorrect.
Fourtitude's recent article did have a lot of correct info though, their sources are good. That's all I'm going to say about that.

the B8 engine compartment was once again designed for a 2.0T and a 3.2 V6.
So, the next RS4 engine can't really be bigger than the current 4.2 V8. That leaves FI, if you want any measurable jump in HP. However, if they could shave 200 lbs or so off the next RS4, then the same 4.2 with maybe 450 HP squeezed out of it might be good enough.

20kW is still way too much. Try single digits.
Don't get me wrong, I WISH it was more. I wish the car had 500+ hp just as much as you do.
