Tire Mobility System. If it works to get one safely home, does it destroy the tire pressure monitors? Wouldn't a portable air compressor be better? Of course, a torn sidewall negates both, so I guess the only solution is to travel with a spare and jack if away from home. Since I do not plan to race on the road, another 60 lbs. or so in the trunk can't be that noticeable.

that the stuff in the can in your trunk is of a kind that dosn't mess up the pressure sensors. They specifically tell you NOT to use the commercially available stuff from parts stores for that reason. Also, there IS a compressor in your trunk as well because the stuff in the can doesn't inflate the tire.

Lots of other interesting stuff in the Owners Manual :-)
