Out of state RS4 purchase help needed.
I found a couple of cars that fit what I want and I'm trying to figure out how to safely buy a car from out of state.
Both are from dealers, but neither are from audi dealers.
I may just have to fly out to see them.

So pre-owned? I would most certainly inspect the cars in person at the very least. Maybe even
take them to a nearby Audi facility (independent or dealer depending on reputation) for a PPI. Sure it's probably nearly new, but it's a lot of money too. Check your dmv and state tax board for any gotchas.
If you are going to have the car trucked, choose carefully from a reputable company.

Cool.. I contacted the local dealer to perform a PPI, they can do it no problem. Seller is fine with that.
Can anyone recommend a good trucking company for west coast transport.
I believe the seller indicated they use United.

We've used both VIP (a division of Mayflower) and most recently Newman to good effect.
Horseless Carriage and Intercity are also options to consider. Call around to see if any are already picking up nearby, as that can not only lower costs, but shorten delivery time. Cross country is anywhere from $1800 to $2000 on average, depending on hyow far. It is both customery to do a little light negotiation at the time of placing the pickup order, and tipping the driver a hundred or two if the car arrives in good shape.
