Painted front bumper/rear bumpers/exhaust frame
My Avus/Premium/Black Interior is due at the end of November, 2006. I am planning on having the dealer paint the center portion of the front bumper (i.e. the plastic gray/black part that is not painted as stock), as well as the unpainted area below the rear bumper surrounding the exaust pipes.
I pained the rear portion of my 2004 B6 S4 Silver and it looked awesome.
Anyone else not find the unpainted plastic parts of the front/rear bumpers as attractive as if they were painted to match the rest of the car?
Any one else done this?

Re: Painted front bumper/rear bumpers/exhaust frame
i think it would be nice to paint them dark gray...so essentially they will deliver the same contrast as is currently there, xept they will have a more 'expensive' painted look that can actually be polished
my worry is that the plastic parts will weather over time...its hard to keep the plastic protected

The rest of the bumper manifolds are the same material. In my current 2004 Silver S4 I painted the portion below the rear bumper which was not painted, and it looks great. I agree with you that the painted look is much more classy than the plastic, unpainted look. For me there have been no chips or problems with the part that I painted. I'm surprised Audi decided to keep the unpainted plastic parts exposed as they are.
