Default To foil the camera, drive faster, according to the Mythbusters

I saw the episode where they tested every type of license plate cover that is supposed to fool the camera. From magnifying glass types to types with glitter embedded in them and the speed camera is always able to see the license plate very clearly.

Only when they used a super funny car with a jet turbine engine and roared past the camera at 250+mph then the camera missed the ticket shot.

Mythbusters

Default The citys and county's love their new ATM machines

and so do the companies that sold them, afterall they get a substantial cut of the revenue for the first year or two.

These things are NOT about safety, they are about money, period.

Default Re: Photo blocker products..

is it legal? And can the cop tell if you have them when they pull you over? You should be able to check which side work by taking a photo of it, the flash will be reflected on the correct side ( i take that's how it work).

Have you seen the new number plate recognition camera on tripod the police use these days to pull over cars that are unregistered, reported stolen, etc...? Wonder how these cover get picked up by those cameras?
