Default RS4 build date Jul 12 What happened to the racing seats?

I received my build date in JUL which means OCT delivery. I was disappointed to learn the racing buckets shown in the RS4 at the car shows will not be coming to the US. ANy way for someone to get those? Oh yes, Invoice plus $1000 so I am under MSRP. Frequent customer discount.

Mind telling us what invoice is on your RS4?

Default $13000 will get you the seats...

Never were going to come on NA market RS4. This has been known since last year.

Now that is the real question! They did not have the invoice pricing when I ordered the car several months ago. But I do have the order sheet which specifies invoice, not MSRP, plus $1000. The car will be fully loaded but without the aluminum trim option.

Default $13000 better get me more than seats..

$13000 grand buys a lot more than seats. I can buy my own CF vacuum bag system and make my own seats for that. At the very most those seats should run $2K each with mounts and sliders and that is a very generous price not including the value of the other Recaros. I can buy Porsche GT3 Cup seats for $2500 a pair on ebay and sew in the Audi emblem for another couple hundred and be way ahead.
Sparco Milano Prestige leather seats run $1500 each plus another $200 for mounts and sliders.

I haven't paid attention to the seat issue until I saw the first RS4 arrive yesterday at my local dealer. I am disappointed since I will track the car when I instruct at the HPDE's. The Recaro Sports are nice street sport seats but the other seats really completed the package.

Don't be expecting the flat-bottom, round hub steering wheel, either.
