Default Sound system in RS4 - Bass seems lacking
At least compared to what my '04 S4 w/Bose sounded like. The bass seems pretty wimpy by comparison.

Listened to the system in the other RS4 at my dealership and it is the same. So it appears this is a feature, not an isolated phenomena.

Anyone else think differently?

BTW: So far I've only been listening to the system when the car is parked. When rolling I've just been enjoying engine sounds.

Default I agree. The sound system in general is weak sauce, particularly the bass...
it makes the harman kardon in the bimmer sounds phenomenal by comaparison... but at least the RS4's "other" sound system is pretty bumpin'

Default That is the main attraction of the premium package....i may not get it
and take my nice audio set up out of my SUV before i sell it.....

I don't care about the Nav....

Default Interesting because I threw in a RNS-E in my '05 S4, which (I believe) is the same unit...
that's in the RS4...and there was a significant sound improvement over the Symphony 2 (or whatever it's called) that came with the car.

Maybe so. But my B6 S4 had Bose, and compared to the RS4 had lots of bass.
