Oh My.... what a day i had today


Morning..

Headed out for a Skid pan session today with 10 other drivers/cars.

Myself, 360 scudera, 993 turbo, few big V8s, wrx,evo.

Man o man does the rs4 own on the wet skid pan, pivoting around the cones and awesome power slides, everyone raved about the milltek sound too, had a wonderful day.

Afternoon...

Pals a salesman @ new BMW store...:O) we took out an interlagos blue 6speedMT M3.

In brief..

Awesome modern look..looks mean

Interlagos blue/palladin interior/cf awesome combo

liked the interior at first glance, some clever **** going on.

Engine sounded pretty good, Fast, high revving, sounds nice.



Drivers seat.

The seat is just strange, even at its lowest it sits way to high giving a feeling of instability,nice looking, RS bucket better.

Steering

The wheel is fat..i like this but... the steering just dosent feel connected to the car, its precise but way too light.

Suspension

In Normal mode i have to say it drives like a fish tank on a roller stake... very sloppy. i pointed this out within 1000 mtrs, it was awful. After the guy put the m-dynamic mode on it was better, but not as tight as the RS.

In summary The seat/steering wheel/suspension feel like they dont work together, like your driving 3 diffrent cars..

Power / gear box

1st gear pulls the same...second feels stronger.Feels very rapid.
Gears are further apart than the rs, i crunched em twice. Much longer throw.

BMW is #1 in this area, i left full of cookies, chicken sandwich, coffee\, magazines and even a hug lol.

Its a great looking car, sounds and goes hard, but can you get used to that driving position? and i dont like the seat its awful.
Again as above , the seat does not feel "part of" the car, just strange...
