Default Thinking of changing suspension

Any ideas of how many hours it would take
to install the Stasis MS system?

About 6 to 7 hours. The canasters are the PIA and take a few hours just to route and mount.

Default I watched it done..about 3-4 hours.

You need some tools, as I recall. Not sure if you need a spring compressor.

Don't forget the alignment and corner weighting!!

Congrats on your purchase..RS4 owners are lucky in that we have GOOD choices for these mods.

Default Like any project, would be much faster if you had done it before.

I think I could do it now in a day, but not knowing, the canisters were a real pain. I could have the SL's installed in 3-4 hours, but I would still need a full day to do the MS kit (it took me three days. Your results may vary).

If you do it, here's a few extra tools you might need:

Long 1/4 inch extensions
20 degree wobble heads for those extensions
1/4 inch drive metric allen/hex drives preferably ball end

Don't forget the spring compressor.

You are going to bend the hell out of some heat shields, but you can bend them back (we spent a lot of time trying to figure out how not to bend them, then we finally gave up)

I just got back from VIR. If you track the car, the MS will be worth it. If not, save you money and your time and just get the SL's. I drove home with the shocks set -6 to -10 (the softer of the two recommended track settings, stiffer than the SL's) and it was not too bad. I would not want that everyday, but the mid setting similar to the SL's is a very good balance.

There were several of us there with MS's, so I think we can put together some impressions. In a nutshell, the Stasis kit is a night and day difference over stock.

If you decide against DIY, consider Tyrolsport in Queens - they put STaSIS MS on my RS6 - great work
