VAG-COM programming

VAG-COM programming
Hello All,
I'm new to my 2007 RS4 and wanted to see if anyone in RS4 land knew about VAG-COM programming. I read on a thread that the new Navigation DVD provides an option to allow an auxiliary input to the RNS Radio in our cars (for example for an iPod) but I heard some slight VAG-COM programming had to be done. Now since I am new to Audi land...I didn't know how involving this is? Can I do the VAG-COM programming myself? Or do I need to take it to a VW/Audi techy mechanic to do this? Or can the stereo shop that I'm getting my stereo installed in do this?? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
