Default Want to buy track wheels for 08 RS4, thinking about Team Dynamics

From everything ive read on here and a few other forums, the TDR Pro Race 1.2 wheels seem like the best bang for the buck in terms of relatively light durable track wheel that is relatively plug and play for the RS4 B7 platform.
It seems like the best size is a 18x9 so that i can run wider tires, and an offset 20mm?
My questions are; does the size listed above fit without any adaptors or adjustment?
Where is the best place to buy these wheels, price vs avail?

Also does anyone do good wheel/tire packages for this wheel, i guess the size to run is a 265/40/18 or 275/40/18, do both of these sizes fit without any adjustment? Good tire deals or best bang for your buck track tire for this wheel?

thanks in advance

I run TDR 1.2's and have had great luck with them. I run the Stasis Motorsports and use ET23 with no rubbing. I use 275/35/18 as it is closer to stock rolling diameter than 275/40/18. I think ET20 without shaving the hub would be tough for my car. I know guys with stock suspension have run that offset.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice, i just picked some TDRs up from Brian at Avalon Motor sports for $1100 shipped, he had a set of black ones in stock so i pulled the trigger. I got 18x9 et 20. I have stock suspension so im assuming i will have no clearance problems.
Now for tires. Dont think im quite ready for R compounds (i'd like to "graduate" to them after a few more track days), I've been looking at the Nitto NT 01s and the Falken Azenis RT-615, both are under $1000 for a set (the falkens have a great rebate on tire direct right now for $800 out the door). Wondering what the best bang for your buck non R compound tire is for the RS4 considering it is a much heavier car than most track cars of its kind. Im looking at 275/35 18s.

What are you guys running?

Also does anyone have stud/bolt conversions? thinking it would be way easier to swap tires but im seeing a HUGE discrepancy btwn a set from 034 Motorsports for about $80 and PureMS offering a set for almost $250. Any advice here?

Nitto NT01's are R compound tires. RT615's are in the same ballpark as Direzza Star Spec's and the Advan neova AD08. Maybe you were refering to the NT05's. They are right there with the others mentioned. I have run the Falkens on the track and the NT05's once and they are comparable in grip. The NT01's are in a different league. I would stick to a tire wth the proper load rating if you can (XL 95 or higher) just to be safe. Also look at Bridgestone RE11's. I have heard good things about them, too. I switched to NT01's and really love the grip, and the price is good. So when your ready for the r comps, give those a look.

Thank for the advice, i went with the Falkens because they had a great deal running on discount tire, they were $780 shipped after rebate.. I figured that would be a great opportunity to try them out. Ill prob step up to the nittos next. Ill report back after my first track day in April and let ya know how it goes!
