Default weird

sudden increase in the rate of acceleration at exactly 5500 rpm, its not subtle and almost feels like car is electronically held back prior to 5500 rpm, sudden kick is very evident in 2ng gear acceleration. am at 1000 k miles anyone noticed similar acceleration?

Default That's normal. Above 5,500 rpm to redline is where this engine likes to be.

It took me awhile to get used to coming from a B5 S4 where the turbos run out of puff and the engine begins to fall flat on its face in the higher rev range.

5500rpm is when the air intake gets switched from torque mode to power mode.
