What the Hell is Commonwealth Audi thinking....
So, as I was on my way to school, I figured I would stop by and see if Commonwealth Audi (Santa Ana, CA) and see if they had any RS4's I could actually sit in and drool over. Well they did, and let me say that the car is absolutley stunning. I am completely jealous of all you who have one of these machines. Nonetheless, there was a "little" sticker I found on the windshield of their Phantom Black RS4.
The sticker read "Limited Market Availability" $10,000. Making the final price of the RS4 $83,520.
I was under the impression all of you were getting these cars for MSRP. I had not heard of this large of a mark up.
What are your thoughts. And if anyone is interested, the car isnt sold, imagine that, but its Phantom Black w/Black Leather & 13miles on the odo.

This is what they're thinking...
Having the car on their showroom floor draws people in that may end up driving out in a new A3, A4, S4, etc.
Plus they may accumulate some deposits for future RS4 orders, which will net them some interest for the next few months.
There is also the chance that some fool will want the first RS4 in Santa Ana and actually pay $83,520 for the car.
They win either way. Once more cars arrive, they'll sell it at MSRP or a bit below (they may even have a few more out back that can be had for that now...word on the board is that Keyes has three...but this won't be evident until you sit down, tell them what you want, and start haggling).

That makes sense, but what didn't was what the sale guy told me...
He said that they are only making these for one year thats why they have the limited availability mark up. I knew he was full of it, but I just wanted to see the car so I didnt argue. Beautiful car though.
