What he's describing is the ECU's response to a stall condition
by quickly opening the butterflies or opening the ICV (idle control valve) before the engine stalls. Most cars cannot respond fast enough and the car stalls.
On my car, what he describes is partially correct. It will stall if I try, but it has to be a pretty bone-headed move (such as letting the clutch out rapidly thinking the car is in neutral). In most cases, the RS4's ECU saves face.
