Why are some of the cars being shipped with Pirelli PZero's
and some with Michelins? Are the Pirelli's a better tire and is there any way to request what tire comes on my car when it ships? My dealer says it is just luck as to what tire will get and that they are so similar I wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway.I smell BS.

Always at least 2 tire types on these type of vehicles
So that problems with tire production won't affect the car's production. Both are good tires. I prefer Michelin PS2 but the Pirelli's came on my CS2, and I'm happy with them. No way to choose what tire the factory puts on your car. If you care that much, you could probably have them swapped with an unsold RS on the lot assuming there is one with the other brand.
Let's hope there is no Conti Sports on the RS4, I've been stuck with that noisy tire on a E55 and an M3 in the past...

you can't request any particular tire...at least not here in the US.
I don't think you'll notice a difference, unless you're a really avid auto-x'er or you do a lot of track events.
