windhshield picture
My front windshield got a deep circular crack from a large stone thrown up from one of the many pickups here in Texas. Was happy to find out the factory OEM glass only runs $217. The local Audi dealer sub-contracted Pheonix Autoglass to install the windshield.
Can anyone take a picture of the gap between the top of the windsheild and the front of the roofline? I would really appreciate it.
After the install I noted a fairly wide (looks like a ruber gasket) between the top of the windshield and the front roofline. I wonder if I never payed attention to it before, or if they set the windshield lower down I would appreciate any pic anyone could take of that gap to settle my neurosis.

No i didn't. Had a similar (truck related) incident back in 2002 when I was behind
a pickup truck and something from it's bed flew into my windshield and cracked it. My insurance carrier (USAA) gave me a hard time later getting an umbrella policy saying that I had been in an accident. This time I elected to just pay $200 because of this and because the Audi part was so much more economical than I was expecting.

I had a cracked windscreen replaced two weeks ago.
A foot long L shaped crack from near the passenger wiper... first cracked windscreen I've had in 7 cars.
Guess it's all that the mad crazy powah.
