Have gotten two conflicting answers, including that the stock bolts are fine. Anyone know? (And apologies for the x-post to the W&T forum.)
thanks

Same here. But.....
I was trying to order RAD locks, and Mike at PureMS referred me to part # 2242 for the locks....which is a 29mm cone seat. According to the PureMS chart, the "stock Audi-VW fitment" is a 26mm ball seat. That would make the RAD bolt Mike recommended significantly longer, not to mention the different seat.
Maybe the B6 S4 just uses different bolts than what's indicated on the chart.....guess I need to pop out a stock bolt and measure it and eyeball the seat-type.
Sounds like our cars are going to be near-twins....<ul><li><a href="http://www.pure-motorsport.com/products/description.php/II=698/CA=50/PA=10">PureMS chart</a></li></ul>

I checked out the RAD locks yesterday
on the PMS web site and was planning on calling them today... My wheels are setting in the garage waiting for better weather. Please do post any additional info.
A set, both Moro but one sedan and one avant.

Cone
14x1.5 30mm Cone Seat.
Very few aftermarket wheels actually use the stock lug bolts.
Ball seat bolts are not recommended for use on wheels that require cone seats. You can damage the seat on the wheel.
dbex, BTW I think I may have left you a voicemail msg last night. Hope that clears it up.

ARGH
Got your message, thanks Mike - it's what made me ask this question.
Now it sound like I not only need the locks, but also need 16 additional bolts to avoid messing up the wheels....not pleased. I'll call you later today.
