Default 35K service cost.

My upcoming 35K service will be my first service under the new non-free service scheme. Has anyone had experience with their dealer still paying for this? I didn't know if people who purchased their cars prior to Jan-07 were still covered or it's an across the board change. Thanks.

Default You're still covered ...

the change only affects new car sales (>= 07 model year). If you had it when you purchased/leased your S4, then you still have it up to 4yrs/50,000 miles. My wife's '06 A4 Avant and my '04 S4 still get free service.

Default back to the original question for those who have had to pay.

I saw one post on here with a cost of @ $900. Is this normal? It seems from looking at service intervals most of what is done is just checking things out and changing the spark plugs.

thanks for your help

Audi gets a lot for doing simple stuff like that. Buy the plugs (air/oil filter & whatever else it needs) online and DIY & save yourself a bundle.
