Default Anyone who had the Serp Belt TSB still notice a whine?

Got mine back last nightand when I picked it up the engine was not cold. This morning I heard a whine(not as loud) only the first time I accellerated through the gears. Car was garaged (40-50 degrees in garage). When I left to come home,(car outside 11 degrees) again heard a whine which startes immediately rather than kicking in at 2K rpms and disappearing at 3K. Went away in about a minute. Not a big deal, but it was nice not to hear anything. Guess I could move to a warmer climate!

Yes. Mine came back during that real cold snap earlier this week.

Default Dr...you're experiencing what you were trying to tell me was the PS fluid!

I heard it initially during the startup, once in the very beginning after the TSB during an acceleration from standstill. It's gone now though.

No this is different! Totally dependant on engine RPM , which is not the case with PS fluid.

Default Yes, that's partly my point. Mine was not a PS fluid whine. You are experiencing what I did.

Nice edit too. ;-)

Default Yeah, I still get a slight one sometimes when its really cold out. Though, I'm in garage too @ 40-50

but once I go outside, it will do it for awhile. Not nearly as loud as before. I can live with this, after dealing with the previous whine for almost a year. Glad you ask this question.

Yeah, I get a real brief whine just after startup when it's very cold.
