Default B6 S4 or MKV R32

I have a MKV R32 on order, but with all of the shortchanging that VW has done and the fact that '08 GTI's will have only 20 hp less than the R32 I am thinking about cancelling my order and getting a B6 S4. I had a 2000 S4 that I loved, it was the best car I have owned. So I am thinking of returning to the Audi fold.

So what do you all think? I am probably going to get a CPO '04 or '05, hopefully an Avant if I can find one.

If cost isn't an issue, go S4. MKV R32 is auto only, which is weak.

I loved the DSG. I actually drove a DSG GTi that I almost bought, but found out I could still get an R32. So I put a deposit on one, But when VW started getting them in the states without 4 piston brakes, no tinted tail lights, no Ipod adapter in the armrest and no one getting summer tires (all of which was advertised on the US website) I thought of my next choice, B6 S4 Avant 6 speed...

Default It's funny I was thinking of doing the opposite but Will prob just hang with my S, I love the V8

too much. plus all the reason you listed as far as the R32 being short changed. GTI is the way to go except R32 has all wheel drive..

Default The R32 uses the same brakes as the B6/B7 S4

They are single piston with 345mm rotors

Yep, and it stops awesome. But at the time I ordered the car vw's website stated "4 piston front brakes" and a whole host of things they aren't coming with. Now you can call me a whiner, but the things that they advertised made me feel it was worth $4000 more than a GTI. But now the folks that have gotten theirs delivered have mentioned that all of these things are missing (how the hell does VW send their "halo" car with A/S tires when they deliver GTI's all day with summmer spec tires?) so I decided that it wasn't worth the premium and would rather spend my money on a 340hp V8 that comes with a 6 speed manual...
