Does AudioPilot eat all the bass?

My experiences with both GALA and AudioPilot ...
I like the GALA speed varying volume - most of the time. It compensates for the increase in wind noise as you go quicker, but doesn't compensate for changes in engine noise (it doesn't know what gear you're in!). And there's no way it can compensate when you drive onto a rough surface, such as ridged concrete. So it's OK but "could do better".
AudioPilot is, IMHO, much better than GALA. There's really only 1 situation I've had where I don't like AudioPilot. On a very hot day the AudioPilot microphone seems to get "confused" and the volume oscillates up and down wildly for a few minutes until the air con cools it down (the microphone is in the interior light just above the windscreen). Very hot days are rare in the UK, so I can live with 5 minutes of bad behaviour on 2 to 3 days a year for the benefits the rest of the time.
