hello all,

After looking at my co-worker's awesome S4 for 2 years, I decide to get one myself. This weekend I went to the dealer and they say it is hard to come by. So I decide to go to autotrader.com to look for it. I guess I will buy from a private party. Is there anything I should look for in particular? I have never done anything like this before (I know nil about car) and I would like to have someone give me some pointers. Thanks in advance!

This forum is devoted to the as-yet unreleased 2004 S4 on the B6 chassis. If you're looking to buy a 2000-2002 used S4, that's the B5 chassis, and they have their own forum. Go to the S4/RS4 forum and you'll be all set. The car was discontinued after a small number of 2002 models were made. There is no '03, and we're all waiting for next year's V8 model.
