Help with color choices! (and opinions on Dolphin Grey)
I need to buy an B6 S4 in the next week or two since I have to surrender my lemon'd B5 soon.
The dealers I've visited only have between them:
3 black, 2 silver, 3 imola, and 1 dolphin.
Originally I really wanted Nogaro Blue w/ Blue Alcantara but the one I saw a month ago appears to have sold so the dealer is checking to see if they can get one soon.
However, I started checking out the dolphin grey one yesterday and I'm seriously considering just going and getting this one. It has all options w/ Tiptronic (I commute in traffic for the most part and the paddles look fun) and I think I really dig the color.
I owned two Black on Black cars before and they were really bad in the summertime but probably due to the inadequate A/C in both of them (plus keeping them clean is a nightmare).
I don't really care for Silver.
I currently have Imola so I want a change.
So what is the consensus on Dolphin Grey. Does it got hot in 80-90 degree temperatures in the sun? More importantly, can the A/C adequately cool it down? How is keeping it clean compared to a black car?

Dolphin is an elegant and understated colour
I've gotten a lot of compliments on the Dolphin colour and it's a little easier to fly under the po po's visual radar.
It's also much easier to take care of than black.

dont buy an auto :(
id go with the dolphin, but only its a manual! my second choice would be black, then nogaro. All with black interious, or black w silver alacantara for black & grey, or blue alacantara on nogaro.
good luck and be sure to post pics!

Seriously I spend like 30 mins in stop and go traffic daily.
I'm kinda tired of my 6speed for that...but I get to test drive both tomorrow so maybe I'll change my mine if it doesn't feel right.

dolphins are awesome. =)
It definitely a awesome color. I am seeing more and more of them on the road. I like the tip cause you can choose three different modes (D, S, Tip). D gets you the most mpg at constant speeds and you will need it after living at the gas station =)

i switched from bb to dolphin gray. upkeep is infinitely better, but when i see a nice bb
i still get a twinge of regret that i went with dolphin. dolphin also strikes me as a more common color.
when clean, nothing looks better than black. but i do like the fact that i can easily go 2 to 3 weeks between cleanings
