I've been having a problem with startign my car that has become increasingly worse. I need to mash
my pedal against the floor in teh morning to get the car started. Sometimes I need to leave the car in teh accessories mode for 2 seconds before it starts. Is this a PS pump problem? My PS fluid is good. But I know in sime cars if teh PS fluid is very low you get that problem. Or mebbe a master cylinder priblem? Any ideas?

if you have an early 04, battery could be plausable......
If you have an alternator thats not doing a very good job keeping the battery charged it could prematurely wear it out. Just a theory. I know when my S4 became hard to start (b5) the battery died a few short weeks later.

was it hard to start in the same way ie: clutch "button" would be at teh floor?
That may make sense bacause later in the day ie after drivign a bit its back to normal
