Just had 5000 mile service, unbelievable . . .
So I left 10 quarts of Mobil One 0W-40 to use (manual calls for 9.5). Got home and there was 1.5 quarts left. Checked the oil and sure enough, I was down a quart. Coolant wasn't topped off either. Service manager said his top guy was working on the car. That's comforting.
Other weird thing, the car was automatically locking after about a minute. The car was parked and nobody was in it. I'd unlock it using the remote and then about 45 seconds later it locked. Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks.

Not only is it an Audi thing, but it's a Lexus thing, a Benz thing...
basically it's a safety default -- if the car is unlocked but nobody enters after a minute or so, the car re-locks itself.
I guess the rationale is that if the car is unlocked, but nobody gets in it, then it was really never meant to be unlocked--perhaps the key fob was inadvertently activated.

Not really...
As described, it only does this if you unlock an already locked car and then do not open a door. If the car was locked to begin with, you were already locked out. It's actually quite hard to lock your keys in the car. About the only way I can think about doing it is to lock the car while a door is open, then throw your keys inside and then close the door.

I used to think the Lexus locked faster than the Audi but...
I realized that you have to be so darn close to the Audi before the remote works that you don't have to worry about the timer - not so with the Lexus as the remote works from at least 150 feet away.
