K40 Radar Laser Detector Laser Diffuser
Any one have any experience with the K40? My uncle just picked up an 04 911 Turbo with the K40 already installed. Any feedback would be appreciated...

From what I know the K40 works well, but....
It works differently from the Lidatek in that it is always on.
The Lidatek gives you 5 seconds to slow down, this allows the cop to get a reading but hopefully after you've dropped below the speed limit. Since the K40 is always on, the cop might suspect a laser jammer and might pull you over anyway.

I've heard of people getting tickets for it in NY, I'm not sure about other states....
I've also heard people get out of it by saying the car was purchased used and they had no idea the car even had one installed.

I've heard of cops looking for it, but if they couldn't find it...no ticket.....
I don't think this happens very often and when it does I don't know how many cops are going to search for one.

Works well, I had K40's in past cars, however from all the current info seems...
the Escort Sr7+Zr3 Shifters works better. That is what I had on my last car.
As long as the K40 unit is mounted correctly he should have no problems, you do have to slam the brakes when the laser goes off though to get down to a slow speed
