last week I got 251 to the tank with 25 left go
just saying...
and it equaled to about 16.77 MPG. Taking it clean and easy for 3/4 tank, then the usual ******* driving for the last 1/8 - 1/4.

That calculates out to a 16.46 gallon tank.
What do we have? A 17 gallon tank? So when your car got to zero miles to empty, you'd have maybe 8 miles to find a gas station. My car seems to hide way more than that when it indicates zero miles to empty. Probably more like 30 miles.

plus, they probably dont want us wasting money on AoA roadside assistance, if they rig it to make us
fill up sooner, so they dont have to be running all over gods creation picking up these damned fools that dont go get some gas when they need it.
but the math is this: 251 miles to tank
25 left on the indicator
14.9 to fill it (TO THE AUTO CLICK AT A SHELL STATION)
easy driving 3/4 tank (like, hardly ever over 3200 rpm), hard driving 1/8 (redlinin MFer)
93 octane.

When do you guys usually fill up?
I get scared already when the dash starts beeping that I'm low.
I've read that people keep driving anyway until it says 0 miles left in tank... how much gas do you really have when it says that?

I fill up at the warning. I commute across a lake on a bridge that is a major bottle neck...
I don't want to be the car that runs out of gas on the bridge and blocks traffic (there is no shoulder) and gets the evil stare from everyone going by and then gets my bumper damaged by getting pushed off of the bridge by an emergency vehicle.

I fill up whenever it's convenient at any point lower than 1/2 tank.
Usually I'm going out for the night and I don't want to have to inconvenience anyone in the car with me by having to find a gas station at some point throughout the night.
