Big deal, I blew the doors off a yellow 360 Modena on Wednesday.
I was only doing about 50 mph when I passed him which raises several possibilities. 1) He was also breaking-in his car, 2) He was afraid of breaking his suspension on a New York City highway, or 3) He bought the wrong car and wasted a lot of money.
Someone on the M3Forum had a 360 (weekend car) and M3 (daily driver). He said they were fairly comparable and the M3 in the video did a nice job of keeping up. For the $130,000 difference, the Ferrari doesn't give you all that much more performance. I will bet it is easier to meet nice looking women in the Modena than a 3 Series car on steroids!

Note to self....
Buy a Viper Venom 650R so I can kill Ferrari's. Hmm....used Venom ~55K with <10K miles sounds worth it to be able to kill lots of things on the road. Even better there is a Venom 1000 on Ebay for 125k, 0-60 in 1.85 seconds. Now that sounds like fun :-). The point of my useless post, Someone will always be faster.

yea....I was talking about the video.....
Although I would have been interested to see how an S4 would fair against the 360. We already know the outcome but it still would have been interesting :-)

As U state yourself, there are non-performance reasons you "blew" by the 360. you didn't beat it ok
Let's be realistic. In a straight line, the stock B6 S4 can't beat the M3, which has the best chance of keeping up with the 360 modena. Unless you're modded (which you'd be an idiot for considering your car's BRAND new) then you have a chance. Modenas are like 2900 lbs buddy

My father has a 360 and I have a chipped 2001 S4. One day I was following him and we had a little go at it. Let me tell you I was quite surprised at how my car was able to keep up. Albeit the 360 is faster but not by as much as you would think. But the 360 is not all about speed. It just drives amazing, and is a blast. It has an F1 trans which is kind of fun.
