Need some help/advice for dealing with Audi AoA/UK/Germany
I am looking for some advice as to where to go from here. As some of you know, I am USAF stationed in England. I called the local Audi dealer to get my 5K mile check up done. They proceeded to tell me it won't make any difference as my car isn't covered under warrenty. As you can imagine, this hit a nerve and I have been dealing with this issue since last week. Below are the answers I recieved from Audi when asked the question, "who would pay for the warrenty repairs if needed"?
Audi UK (phone 011-44-800-699-888)- Since it is a U.S. spec vehicle they would not honor the warrenty. They would do any neccessary repairs needed, but I would have to pay for them. They refered me to AoA for further information.
AoA (phone 1-800-822-2834)- They originally claimed that the vehicle would adopt the warrenty from the country it was imported into. I told them the answere that Audi UK gave me and they went deeper and did more research. They then came back to say that Audi UK was correct. If I needed any sort of warrenty work done I would have to pay for the repairs out of pocket and then submit the bill and payment information to AoA. AoA would then review the claim, but would not gaurantee payment. They also told me that I could contact Audi AG as they are the "boss" and would know for sure what the deal was.
Audi AG (phone 011-49-841-894-4600)- They claim there are no U.S. spec vehicles built in Germany and that they don't know what to tell me. I told them I bought the vehicle at a tax free factory outlet here in England and the vehicle was sent directly from Germany to me. Again, they claim no U.S. spec vehicles are built there and they don't know what to tell me. I asked the rep "well if I need warrenty work done, who is going to pay for it"? She told me that she would get back with me in a few days, but probably would not have any new information for me.
Now, I don't need any warrenty work done (KNOCK ON WOOD). I am just a bit nervous/pissed off at the moment and want to have my ducks in a row if I need to have some work done.
Any advice or words of wisdom?

That is pretty fvcked up. Hopefully, you can find someone to help you. . .
I would definitely try posting on some of the other forums to see if anyone has experienced anything similar.

that is VERY fvcked up..do youhave access to a judge advocate/military attorney to help you if push
comes to shove. Perhaps a letter from a government official may coerce some cooperation.

Long Shot...
Call your local US dealer, explain the situation, see if they could do some kind of inter-dealer billing. I would think they would be very willing to help you out...even if you did not buy the car there...you're certainly doing your part to keep them (and everyone else) safe.
