The person who sold me my unit said he can get me the latest firmware release for $75 shipped. does that sound like a good deal? would any of you do it? Should I? Thanks in advance.

The firmware should be free or real cheap. The new Nav DVD is the real cost.

Default If it's the original and if you are missing streets yes.

You can borrow the new DVD ($199 new from Navteq), upgrade the software and continue to use your old DVD as map. If you can get the original for $75 and if you are missing a lot streets, it may be worth the upgrade though.

Default Goodness... My seller gave it to me for $25, shipped.

But if you have a US unit and you would like to install the bluetooth at some point, you need it. If you have an EU unit, you don't.
