Default Oil temperature......

On the RS4's i noticed in the area where one would usually have the in the PRDNL/123456 in the center LCD screen they have the oil temperature. I was wondering if there is a way via vag-com to code that..... any ideas?

Default

That would be useful for start/warm-ups. No idea how to get it done though.

Default I miss my oil temp guage from B5, there it was even more critical.

But I would like to have that back, I am thinking where you code the cluster to tell it what type trannie you have, there is a 3rd option perhaps, thats says manual with oil temp....

Default Vag-com says the cluster can read the oil temp in group 50.....

The question remains how to get it to display. I need to see the coding on an RS4's cluster.

Default I bet there is no temp sender in the S4. If it had it, there is no reason it wouldn't already show

it.

Default I, too, miss the oil temp on my B5 S4. I also miss the oil pressure gauge I added. I'm sure that

there is a sensor that the system monitors, but finding how to display the info may be a problem.

I'm looking for a pair of 45mm gauges (oil temp. and press.) to mount in a pod on the steering column as soon as I get the V1 display re-routed to the message center where the radio stuff is displayed.

If anyone knows of gauges that fill the bill, let me know.
