Default Ordering B7 S4

I'm going to put down a deposit this week for the new S4. Does anyone know how this works? Does one agree on a final price before putting down the (2000 dollar) deposit? If so, what kind of price should I agree on for a fully loaded manual S4? I figured to pay about 1000 dollars more than a 2005 B6 S4.

Thanks!
David

Yes, this is Santa Monica Audi. Apparently they feel that since Arnold Schwarzenegger is a local, that I can afford a 2000 dollar down payment too.

Default Neg your best price first.. on a new B7 I would figure $2,000 below sticker is fair. Read inside.

A $500 downpayment is enough to show you are serious. I just put down $500 on my $63,000 list S4 Cab 05.5'. Sometimes you might do $1,000 for a new car. But anything more then that is just so they can make extra money off the deposit. Also always make sure to neg. the best deal before putting down anything. And get it in writing what you are gettting and an expected delivery date (within a month span or so). Also you do have the right at any time to cancel the deposit and get your money back. (Make sure to put on the contract deposit towards and list the type of car, options etc.. with the final sales price out the door on the contract.) And put on the contract you reserve the right to cancel the order. It is not like they are custom ordering a car that no one else might want. Anything they get they will be able to sell.

Also alot of places will say ok well I know you want 52k for the price and you already paid $1,000 so we can do it for $52k more. (You would be amazed at what some places try and pull.)

Of course if the pricing for the B7 is not out yet then just put down a deposit but make sure to put on the sales contract that you reserve the right to cancel the contract at any time. They also can not hold you to a contract if they do not give you the final price in the contract.
