Ok so we have a 97 camry xle with the v6..the notorious oil sludging v6. Its been burning oil for like 40,000 miles, and we talked to Toyota, who said we couldnt fix it, since we had missed a few scheduled services and oil changes. We were getting ready to sell the car, with about 87,000 miles, when Toyota called out of the blue and offered to give us an entirely new engine minus the block for free as part of the campaign to fix this prob. This, after 6 + years , being 30,000 miles out of warranty at least. As far as I'm concerned, thats the bar now, and Audi would benefit to follow. We've already owned 3 toyotas over the years, but I'm questioning my first Audi based on AoA policies. Anyways, thanks for the rant-space!
