Default Paging Sia Bani

Hey man- I did a search and saw you recently had a successful challenge to a carpool lane violation. One of my company execs got tagged as he moved into the carpool lane to make a right turn, and he's asking me if there's any way to fight it.

Do you happen to know if there's some rule about how far you can travel in a carpool lane before making a turn?

Thanks in advance!

Default You're talking street (vs hwy) right? i.e. Lawrence expswy, etc

I won mine because the cop never wrote back. There was an old car moving very slowly, almost at stopped speeds instead of 65mph on the 101 junction to 85, in the normal lane, so I moved to carpool to get around, and once I came off the onramp onto 85N, there was an officer just waiting.

I explained, but he told me to contest it by letter since he hadn't seen this after he came after me, etc. Nice guy.

I'm not sure about any rules for the street, about making right turns, etc from within the carpool lane. When I do this, I generally leave my blinker on while I merge into it so any hidden cops can see I'm going to turn right soon thereafter

Default Gotcha- thanks.

I hope my guy gets a similarly reasonable cop. And judge, for that matter.
