Ok guys, here's the deal.
After reading through this thread, A LOT of us (not just me) have learned that the "no-names" on this B6 S4 forum know David and have issues with him, his attitude, his whatever.
I can respect that, but just like you mentioned that he's getting heat on the Chicago forum...why don't you keep it there or in person?
Why do you have to come here, make us think you're doing a B5 vs B6 troll session, and more siginificantly, try and educate David with whatever knowledge you possess and he doesn't??
You're making B6 S4 owners' experience on here less enjoyable by bringing your personal issues towards David, and making them public.
He posted pics of his new mods. Let's leave it at that. You either like it or you don't, but there's no need for lecturing him. If he's "beyond hope," "unwilling to learn," etc, how do you suppose you can affect his choice in mods by insulting him NOW?

As an instructor, I'd have to disagree...
Both the student and the instructor need to listen to each other, without a lot of preconceived notions. I've found that I learned as much from my students as I've tried to teach them.
Truthfully, I've had more trouble working with the "advanced" students than I've ever had with novices.
FWIW...

agree and disagree
if the student doesn't have an open mind, the whole thing is a waste of time... but i do agree instructers also have a duty to themselves to have an open mind. whether or not that helps the student is still up to the student.
and worst case, the student can always try another instructor if that one isn't being flexible to the students needs.
