question about e-codes

so for 04 s4's, we need to purchase xenon e-codes and for 05 s4's they get bi-xenon e-codes since their comes standard with bi-xenon

is this correct?

No. you can get bi-xenons for all B6's. I have an 04 A4 and have them.....

no modifications necessary.

wouldn't you need to buy bi-xenon parts then?

No. If you have OEM xenons (not bi-xenons). all you have to do....

is buy the bi-xenon housings and swap out the bulbs, ballasts and transformers and put them in the new housings (not to worry, this is a ten minute job). The bi-xenon mechanism is contained within the housing itself and is really only a larger projector with a door behind it. The door is activated when you turn on your high beams and it allows more light to come out of the projector. So the term bi-xenon is a bit misleading. You're not getting a xenon bulb for the high beam.
