So my front Contis are out of tread...has anyone switched out the front tires to another type
while keeping the same rears?
If I go this route, what tires do you recommend considering the situation.
I'd rather not spend $ on all 4 tires, when I'm close to purchasing new wheels altogether. Thanks for the knowledge~

Problem is that unless the diameter of the new tire are within 4/32'' of the old, you will damage
the quattro system. Considering that tires have between 9-10/32" of tread, your original tires would have to have AT LEAST 1/2 of their tread left to be useable. BUY 4 new tires, sell the originals to someone who wants to burn them up on the track. Added bebefit is you can now get the tires you really want and they will be better than the stock tires.

You can't just swap out bald tires with brand new ones without changing the whole setup. You need to have the diameter very close not to screw up our quattro system.
Final point about me, I don't "try <b>to</b> hard to be smart."
The point about the term "rotation" is that you should have rotated PRIOR.
