Found out tonight. FINALLY!!!!!!!! Rather than go into a long blow by blow story, I'll give the condensed. The run couldn't have been much more even. After jockeying back and forth to test the willingness, we finally downshifted next to each other and went. He jumped first but I hit it immediately after. Through 3rd and 4th, even. Stock M5s of that era run 12.9 to 13.2 at 107 - 109mph. All without the benefit of a 4 wheel launch. Dying to see what my car will do...

I know it's heresy to assert that a B6 could mess with one of these cars, but, it happened.

and although it was quick, I wasn't overly impressed. The car felt a little heavy and not that nimble by today's standards. I'd take the S4 any day. This guy also happens to own a B7 S4 and says that he thinks he prefers the S4.

There's no doubt the CTS-V was a faster car, especially in a roll-on race. They trap at better than 110 mph. Very fast cars. They're toast from a dead stop but once they get going...
The differences between that race and this one (altho' I still would've lost to the CTS-V) is that I've cleaned my disgustingly filthy Matrix air filter and sealed up my CAI.

Full exhaust, Matrix, Giac 93 octane flash, no spare, lightweight battery, light wheels, light brakes, the exhaust is also lighter than factory.

My old M5 was a lot stronger on top than my S4, then again my S4 is stock.
