Hi all,

I did some searching on these fine forums but didn't see anything on the subject line above. I have a 2013 S4 Prestige, DSG, Sport differential. 27K miles. Recently (last several days) I have noticed a low frequency hum or drone from about 25 MPH and up. The tires are new(ish) and appear fine. There are no noticeable performance issues.

Anybody have any ideas?

Quick follow-up. My local dealer has diagnosed the problem as a right-front wheel bearing. Odd that it went south at 27K miles, but anything mechanical can fail. Some sooner, some later. Warranty service. All is (going to be) good (as soon as the part comes in).

Good to know what it was. I suspected a bearing, and it's odd to have it go bad with that few miles on it. Odd to that they wouldn't have a common part like a wheel bearing in stock at the dealers.
