Judy- You win a prize for the longest bump of a thread back to life ( 8 and 1/2 years ), lol! Seriously I use a nice horsehair brush I got from an online detail supply store, along with Sonax Alcantara cleaner.

OMG!! You guys should use a hand vacuum to clean pet hair. they do a good job.
