Sounds like you guys (and gal) have a great day planned. Make sure you post pics.
If I knew the border wasn't going to be nuts, I would come down just to hang out and learn.
And remember, without pics, it didn't happen.
Cheers.

Cable is one thing, it's the VCDS software that makes it worth it.

So as to not leave the east coast out, I finally got around to installing the Alu Kreuz tonight. Overall it was an easy process, but I did have to do a bit of drill work on the plastic guards in order to get the holes to line up. I haven't taken it out for a spin but will post some thoughts tomorrow.

All done! Much thanks the Annie for the use of her jacks, driveway and assorted tools used, and thanks Scott for stopping by too!
Was a pretty quick job the first time, the second one went on in less than half that time. I'll get some real seat time soon to give more definitive feedback, but initially I love the directness of feel as many others have echoed. Even dead center driving, the feel is much more like a coiled spring ready to let go and react. Some gentle tossing about at lower speeds on winding roads also yeilds a much more eager feel to the steering - especially in Dynamic mode.
Oh, and the Alu-Kreuz weighs in about .7 lbs lighter than stock!

Glad to see that the install is such a breeze. With no load on the suspension when the factory brace is removed, did it seem like the weight of the wheel/tire and suspension would cause the assembly to move? Is there any reason to suspect this thing will need an alignment after install? Just curious.
