Is B8 S4 based off another platform like a VW?

Right now, the only platform sharing between VW and Audi are the A3/TT (shared with the Golf) and the Q7 (shared with the Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne). The previous-gen A8 and the VW Phaeton are kissing cousins, with the latter borrowing a bit from the former.
As others have said, the B5 and B6 A4 have a common platform with the VW Passats of that time, but the latest Passat switched over to a transverse layout platform that is very similar to the Jetta.
The upcoming Audi Q3 is supposed to share the same platform as the Tiguan (which in turn is shared with the Golf and previous-gen Jetta).
