Are you guys getting the squeal right before stopping? I know that's a funny question, but I get a loud squeal when I crawl, even when I left off the brake a little before stopping. I took it to the dealer today and they said they couldn't reproduce it, so all ver frustrating.

Yup.....the squeal was at very low speed braking/almost stopped.

You should try Carbotech Performance Street Pads Compound #1521 CT1322. No Fading , Non-corrosive dust.
I've installed a set on my S4, and what a difference!! I purchased them through Amazon. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Some people say the repair is good others say it loses some of that nice "bite" that the S4 brakes have. I prefer bite and noise to quiet and less bite. Reason for squeal is that the brakes are more of a race compound pad and they need to warm up. GTRs have horrendous squeal. I have it rarely just warm the pads up with a few stops and its gone.

So would it be a better idea to replace the pads myself or take the car in? I have an 11 a4 I purchased recently with 34,000 miles, so it still is under manufacture warranty. And it's coming to stop slowly. It's annoyinh to have a great looking car that sounds like a run down pos coming to a stop lol
Thanks

So at this point , you are assuming that the new pads will eliminate the squeal. I hope so. Now if they would eliminate the brake dusts well, that would be something! Have you considerd getting ceramic pads?

Have not looked that far into it! Would that be a better option, rather than getting oem from audi "if" they'd replace them

If you want to eliminate brake dust it would be. But Im not sure that the Audi dealer will install non Audi parts, but they might.
