Lets say you didn't get an S4 with the Rear Diff. Is there a way to get it installed later? Like can I order the Diff and have someone install it?

Anything is possible with money, highly unlikely though. It requires several sensors installed all around the car, in addition to the ADS software in the MMI to work, so...not an easy "slap it in and it works" sort of thing.

Seeing your post about ordering, if it has not started production yet, it's not to late to change things. I highly recommend adding it, as it will also give you higher resale, help in any slippery conditions (sand/gravel onroad, fast around a corner, rain, slush, snow, ice) as well as 75% of the functions that ADS adds all for a fraction of the entire ADS package cost.

I don't know and I don't know if they do. I would think at 50+K a pop they would track things that still belong to them better.

I was given a ship name, but that one will not make it to Houston (if it's even going there) by 12/14 as I as told, so when I had them check last Friday they didn't verify if the ship name changed, just that it will be in Houston on 12/16.

Looking at the shipping arrivals for that port, there is an Audi/VW ship arriving that day, it's called Athens Highway - currently supposed to stop over in Virginia area day after tomorrow. If it comes near a receiver soon I can get an update, but still no 100% guarantee it's on that ship. I'll wait till the 17th and see if it made it off the ship and on a truck at this point.

The highlight here is that if it DOES make Houston on 12/16, and follows your car's rough travel speed from there, it will arrive for me to pickup on Christmas Eve

I found my perfect S4 (it's in my sig). I get it in a couple days.
