I made an appointment tomorrow so they can read-out the "gearbox-malfunction" log entry and hopefully start up the warranty case. They already have my VIN, so idd I can easily ask this...good point! I should have done this earlier! DAmmm

Not sure what they did over on your side of the pond, as my letter came from Audi of America, however I think it would go a long way towards persuading them to encompass you alone (if they didn't want to include all of EU) with a letter from AOA stating that the Yanks got 100K miles

Ok, so I went to the dealer, they hooked it up, did some research and apparently a mechatronics part (print plate?)is in need for being replaced and yes it is being covered by the warranty! SWEET! Too bad I have to wait until jan 19 , today I had the error popping up for about 10 times :s

With a 2010, you likely were impacted by the thermostat and water pump recalls? If so, I know in the US we all got letters stating we got an extended powertrain warranty to 100K miles. Otherwise, this sounds likely to be a bad mechatronics unit I would wager.

Idd luckily you were wright! Hopefully after the repair, the errors will keep away. This morning it was quite annoying driving the car to work! :s

You should be fine after they replace the unit. There have been a handful (maybe 6-8) total out of the hundreds of owners who post here and on Audizine that I have seen have issues and get it replaced. One benefit of having mine for more than 2 years, and being active here before my car even arrived is that I have seen and heard of all the issues that have cropped up over the years, and hearing the symptoms makes triage pretty simple and accurate
