Then I would say there is a good chance he will get LC!! I wouldn't mind driving the A3 S-Line loaner for a few days for a free upgrade to LC!! Giddy Up!

Keep us posted drrick89!!

Same thing here, 2011 DSG, driving in a parking lot is ridiculous. It slams into gear, chatters trying to figure out what gear to go into. Dealer says car is driving normal!!!!!!

your A3 2.0T has launch control probably. Try it out...really fun on that car.

If I were betting he'll get the 2010 parts his car was sold with. They have to keep boatloads of parts on hand for stuff like this for years after the car is sold...rather than upgrading him to all new stuff. That's my guess.

You might want to confirm with your dealer that there isn't a software update for the DSG. I've heard stories in the past about DSG software updates smoothing out the shifting.

that really sucks DrRick!, hope they really have one in Germany. If you recall with my intercooler incident, I had to wait for a part to be built in Germany and air freighted to USA.. no car for 15 days.

The A3 2.0T loaner is a 2010 they're trying to sell.

Depends Saki - one of the last guys to get a new mechatronic unit got hardware rev 1.1 - and the software rev was totally different for his 1.1 hardware compared to the 1.0 hardware. The Dealer said this was due to the hardware being totally changed, and having different software driving it. Stands at least a chance that this could have LC code on it

Talked to the service guy a couple hours ago. He said they'd already ordered the transmission. Said there were a lot of software upgrades. Didn't know about hardware upgrades or LC.

Sorry to hear about this Dr. Rick. Hopefully you'll be back in the S4 soon! Still, u just might walk away from this with the only known 2010 DSG w/ LC
